Mike's comeback ride! On the way to 6th place outright and 3rd in the 750 class of the 1977 Castrol Six Hour Race at Amaroo Park, near Sydney. I shared the riding and in hindsight we could have finished much highrer had we taken the time to calculate the fuel consumption, as we made at least one unnecessary pit stop. Still, it was an excellent result from a team made up of enthusiasts, against manufacturer-entered and heavily funded teams. We even practiced, qualified and raced on the one set of Avon tyres! - Jim Scaysbrook
