The race pictured was won by Mike Hailwood on his 297 Honda Six with Phil Read second on his 251 Yamaha 4 and Dan Shorey third on a 348 Norton. The weather stayed dry for the 350 race but a heavy shower wet the track for the Invitation Race but Mike came out on his 500 four to the great pleasure of the crowd dispite the conditions Mike finished fourth with Dave Croxford third and John Cooper second just pipped by Read in first (Bill Ivy came off his 248 Yamaha 4 at Park Corner)The crowd cheered Mike for coming out on the 500 and letting everyone hear the fantastic sound (he could of used his 297 six) - Eddie Major
